Pengukuran Dampak Penggunaan Media Audio-Visual dalam Proses Pembelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam

The learning process involves the transfer of knowledge from teachers to students with the aim of guiding students towards more positive behavioral changes. One of the subjects that aims to instill positive attitudes is Social Science. However, in the context of History and Islamic Culture (SKI) learning, the average student achievement level, as indicated by the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM), remains low. This is attributed to the under utilization of media in SKI teaching, resulting in students' lack of interest in the subject. To address this issue, this research focuses on the effect of using audio-visual media in SKI teaching. The study adopts a quantitative quasi-experimental design, involving two groups: the experimental group and the control group, to compare learning outcomes using different media approaches. The research findings indicate that using a variety of SKI learning materials presented through audio-visual media, whether natural or artificial, has a more positive impact compared to teaching without audio-visual media.

ABSTRAK
Proses belajar melibatkan transfer pengetahuan dari guru ke siswa dengan tujuan untuk mengarahkan siswa menuju perubahan perilaku yang lebih positif. Salah satu mata pelajaran yang bertujuan untuk menanamkan sikap positif adalah Ilmu Sosial. Namun, realitanya, dalam pembelajaran Sejarah dan Kebudayaan Islam (SKI), rata-rata nilai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) siswa masih rendah. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kurangnya pemanfaatan media dalam pembelajaran SKI, sehingga minat siswa terhadap pelajaran tersebut menjadi kurang. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, penelitian ini difokuskan pada efek dari penggunaan media audio visual dalam pembelajaran SKI. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif quasi experimental design yang melibatkan dua kelompok, yakni kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol, untuk membandingkan hasil belajar dengan penggunaan media yang berbeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan variasi materi pembelajaran SKI yang disajikan melalui media audio visual, baik yang bersifat alami maupun buatan, memberikan dampak yang lebih positif dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran tanpa media audio visual.
