Purpose

Ensure accurate, consistent, and ethical citation.

Facilitate replication, source tracking, and indexing.
Citation Style

Authors must use the APA 7th Edition referencing style.

In-text citation must follow the author–year model.

DOI links must be included in the format: https://doi.org/xxxxxxx
Reference Quality and Quantity

Minimum of 25 references per article.
-
At least 70% from reputable journal articles.
-
At least 60% from the last five years.
-
DOI must be included when available; if not, provide a stable URL.
-
Self-citation (author and journal) is limited to 20% maximum.
Recommended Tools

Authors are encouraged to use Zotero or Mendeley with the APA 7th Edition style.

Enable automatic DOI lookup.

Use duplicate-check features to avoid repeated references.
Citation Ethics

Cite primary sources whenever possible.

Avoid decorative or irrelevant citations.

Clearly label preprints when cited.

Ensure that all sources cited in the text appear in the reference list and vice versa.
Editorial Check
-
The editorial team will normalize references for APA 7 style, DOI accuracy, capitalization, and journal title formatting.

Manuscripts with inconsistent citations will be returned for revision.
Reference List Formatting (APA 7)
-
References must be arranged alphabetically by the first author’s surname.
-
Apply a hanging indent of 1.27 cm.

Article titles must use sentence case; journal titles must use Title Case and be italicized.
